How much does it cost?
We have three tiers:
- Free Solo: 1 account, 12 categories, 50 transactions/month
- Premium Solo: $9.99/month - Unlimited accounts, categories, transactions + 15 AI statement uploads
- Premium Family: $14.99/month - Everything in Solo + up to 5 family members + 30 AI statement uploads
Is there a free trial?
Yes! One-time 7-day free trial for premium plans. You can try either Premium Solo OR Premium Family (one trial per user). Cancel anytime during the trial without being charged.
What's your refund policy?
No refunds after the trial period ends. That's why we offer a 7-day free trial - to ensure you love it before paying! You can cancel anytime, and pro-rata credits apply if you downgrade mid-cycle.

Is my financial data safe?
Absolutely! We take security seriously:
- โ Bank-level encryption (AES-256)
- โ Application hosted on DigitalOcean (SOC 2 compliant)
- โ Database powered by Neon (Serverless Postgres)
- โ Storage secured by Cloudflare R2 (AES-256)
- โ PostgreSQL database with encrypted backups
- โ We NEVER store your bank login credentials
- โ We NEVER sell your data to third parties
- โ GDPR compliant (EU/UK/global)
- โ All data encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest
Do you connect to my bank account?
No! You upload PDF/image statements manually. This means:
- โ No security risk from bank API access
- โ Works with ANY bank worldwide
- โ You control what data you share
- โ Not automatic (but safer!)
What happens to my uploaded statements?
- Processing: Sent to Google Gemini AI for transaction extraction (95%+ accuracy)
- Storage: Original PDF is permanently deleted after processing
- Google's Guarantee: Google does NOT store or train on your data (paid API guarantee)
- Your Control: You can delete extracted transactions anytime

What AI do you use?
We use Google Gemini (Vision-First) for:
- Statement processing: "Sees" your PDF like a human (95%+ accuracy)
- Transaction categorization: Smart pattern learning
- Duplicate detection: Prevents double-counting
- Spending insights: Personalized budget recommendations
How accurate is the AI categorization?
95%+ accuracy on standard bank statements. Our Smart Categorization system uses two layers:
- Layer 1: Smart Global Caching: We instantly recognize millions of common stores (like Amazon, Starbucks, etc.) for zero-latency categorization.
- Layer 2: Vision-First AI: Any unknown merchants are analyzed fresh by Google Gemini using the full context of the statement.
What is User Bulk Override?
If the AI or the Global Cache gets a category wrong, you can fix it manually. When you do, check "Update all future transactions" to create a User Bulk Override. This ensures your personal preference takes priority over the Global Cache for that merchant permanently.
What is "Magic Drop" Automation?
Magic Drop allows you to sync your statements "invisibly" by connecting a Google Drive folder. Any PDF/image dropped in that folder is automatically processed and categorized every 60 seconds.
Our automation bot is blind to your entire Drive EXCEPT for the specific folder you share. You can evict the bot and kill the connection instantly at any time.
How are password-protected PDFs handled?
We provide a Security Vault where you can safely store bank statement passwords. These keys are encrypted at rest (AES-256) and only used in-memory to unlock files during the sync process.
Which banks/statements do you support?
ANY bank that provides PDF or image statements! We've tested:
- โ Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo (USA)
- โ Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, Monzo (UK)
- โ Revolut, Wise, Monzo (Digital Banks)
If it's a PDF/image with transactions, we can process it!
What are Spending Trends?
Spending Trends provide a long-term view of your financial health using a 5+1 logic: it compares your last 5 completed pay cycles to your current cycle to spot patterns, wealth gaps, and safety net trends.
Do you support credit card statements?
Yes! We automatically detect credit card vs bank account statements and apply the correct accounting logic. Credit card balances are treated as liabilities.

How does family sharing work?
- Invite family members via code generated by app when you create family
- They create their account
- You all see shared budgets
- For premium family, each person can upload their own statements
- Combined view shows total family finances
Premium Family: Up to 5 family members, shared budgets, and collaborative tracking.
Can I control what family members see?
No - and that's by design! The purpose of Family Budget is full financial transparency. When you invite someone to your family:
- They see ALL family accounts, transactions, and budgets
- Everyone has the same view of family finances
- This encourages open communication about money
- Each member can still filter the dashboard by person to see individual spending
What if I want to remove a family member?
Family members can remove themselves from family. Family owner can remove family members from family settings. Their transactions, accounts, budgets, goals, and settings stay with them.

Do you support multiple currencies?
Yes! Multi-Currency Support including:
- USD, EUR, GBP, INR, CAD, AUD, JPY, CNY, and more
- Each account can have its own currency
- Dashboard shows totals per currency (no forced conversion)
- Multi-currency families supported!
What's the difference between Physical and Virtual goals?
- Physical Goals: Money in a separate account (e.g., savings account)
- You manually transfer money
- We track if you've transferred this cycle
- Virtual Goals: Money allocated in your mind (still in checking)
- No physical transfer needed
- We deduct from "Safe to Spend"
Do you have a mobile app?
Not yet! But our web app is fully mobile-responsive. Works great on phones/tablets. Native apps planned for 2026.
Can I delete my account?
Yes! Go to Settings โ Delete Account. You'll need to:
- Confirm with your password
- Type "DELETE MY ACCOUNT"
- All your data will be permanently deleted (we keep anonymized usage stats for service improvement)
